A black night watchman in a chemical factory finds the body of a young white woman in the basement. Blamed for the murder, the man is tried but the real killer is unmasked during the trial.
Loosely based upon elements of the Leo Frank murder trial.

Not a great movie but...
This movie may not be the ultimate cinematic experience but the fact that Mr. Micheaux was able to use an interracial cast to highlight racism was amazing. Especially in view of the time it was made. For that alone I'll give it 4 stars.

Murder In Harlem
Some scenes in the movie were to dark to view. It's pretty sad the mentality of some folk in those days this movie did have some comedy in spite of the racism the manager showed. The dialogue some characters had was un-believable makes you wonder what the budget was and how many days did it take to shoot.
Sorry not a bookmark for this movie.
